Alvord Desert was on our bucket list. Camping on the La Playa is a unique experience & we look forward to another visit.
We have a sweet spot in the Mesquite Spring campground. Unlike the overcrowded main campgrounds, there are only a few campers here each night.
We went from hot to hot and traded spectacular views for a nice spot on the Green River. The folks next site over said it cools down pretty good at night. Hopefully, they're right.
Is it any surprise we ended up at the Guads — Guadalupe Mountains NP. We were planning on surprising our friends that were gathering here, but I think they were on to us.
Well, we made it to St Clair in Deming, NM – another Harvest Hosts, stop. This is our third year to visit and spend the night at this winery — one of our faves.
"We're spending the night at Pillsbury Wine Company at their rustic tasting room & vineyard location just south of Willcox, AZ, thanks to Harvest Host."
We've wanted to check out this SP. Lots of good hiking. And nearby is the site of the Battle of Picacho Pass, one of several Civil War engagements in the Arizona Territory.
This unique canyon is one of the few places where the Mojave River flows above ground. A good stopping spot not far from the highway.

We found a very nice area for dispersed camping. We saw very few campers in this spacious area that offered lots of level space to camp.
"We arrived at our lot in Jojoba Hills to find a Bird of Paradise welcoming us along with an orange and a lemon tree. How cool is that?"
A nice state park for a couple of day layover. We got a great site overlooking Lea Lake.
Once again, we found ourselves at a campground we enjoyed last spring. Oliver Lee is nicely tucked in at the base of the Sacramento Mountains in the Chihuahuan Desert.

We returned to a state park we thoroughly enjoyed last spring & were greeted with a sea of little yellow flowers—one of the few state parks where rockhounds can collect rocks.
Our second visit to St Clair Winery via HarvestHost.com. Friendly folks here, along with good wine!
"We went looking for music in the desert, and we found it! Sideman Jamboree."

We’re back at SKP Saguaro Co-op (second visit within a month) for a few days to regroup, stock up on groceries, do laundry, and of course, visit with friends.
We love short drive days – Just 88 miles! Found ourselves back at Patagonia Lake State Park, a place we enjoyed last spring.
Top Photo: View of Tucson Mountain Park from the trail. Lots of good hikes can be found here.
"After two weeks out of this park, we decided to return for another week. We just love the Tucson area!"
