We went from hot to hot and traded spectacular views for a nice spot on the Green River. The folks next site over said it cools down pretty good at night. Hopefully they're right.
Is it any surprise we ended up at the Guads — Guadalupe Mountains NP. We were planning on surprising our friends that were gathering here, but I think they were on to us.
This unique canyon is one of the few place where the Mojave River flows above ground. A good stopping spot not far from the highway.

A nice state park for a couple day layover. We got a great site overlooking Lea Lake.
