Top Photo: After leaving Flowlers Camp, we hopped on IH 5 and saw this. A reminder that some of the politics is a tad different around here.
"Fowlers Camp Campground, located in the tall pines on the McCloud River outside McCloud, CA. Great views of Mount Shasta from the nearby Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway."
Top Photo: Bumpass Hell – The largest hydrothermal area in the park that can be accessed by a 3-mile round-trip hike. A boardwalk takes visitors through a bowl of mudpots, pools, and steam vents.
"This National Park Campground is located on Manzanita Lake, and nicely situated in the tall Jeffrey Pines".
A Forest Service Campground located on Eagle Lake outside Susanville. WE were delighted to find that this campground had hookups! Not common in Forest Service campgrounds.
