Deschutes Brewery Tour.
This is our fourth summer to visit Bend, but our first to take the tour of Deschutes Brewery. In the past, we’ve made a point of visiting their Public House in downtown Bend, which began brewing in 1988. Construction on the main brewing facility began in 1993.

"Ten months later, we find ourselves back in Bend, OR. We are now officially on vacation for the next couple of months."
This BLM campground is a couple of hours east of Bend, OR. Right now, the lake is so low that the dock and boat ramp no longer reach the water, resulting in an empty campground.

"Driveway surfing in Boise. We spent a wonderful evening visiting with our old friends, Bob & Charlene, who once lived in Austin but moved to this area a few years ago."
Found a nice campsite with a great view nestled in between the lava rocks at Craters of the Moon National Monument.
"After a short drive from West Yellowstone, MT, we decided to spend a couple of nights in Pocatello, to see friends. Looking forward to visiting with them & exploring the area."
"The RV gods took care of us here. The place was full at noon — who would have guessed? A nice couple flagged us down & offered us their site as they were leaving a day early."
We needed a spot for just one night & decided to stop at Cracker Barrel. They had 5 RV spots in a pleasant setting. Plus, the next morning, we had a delicious breakfast.
Prairie Dogs everywhere! Theodore Roosevelt National Park was on our summer's Bucket List. Glad we made it here. It looks like we have lots of exploring to do!
Found a very nice US Army Corps of Engineers campground on the Missouri River, just down from Lake Sakakawea. It looks like a good place to regroup.
We woke up Monday morning with the intent to hit the road. Stalker was having labored breathing, so we went to the vet in Grand Forks instead. X-rays of his lungs were darker than normal, indicating infection or cancer. Treated for infection, but when we got back to the coach, he rapidly declined. T...
As we rolled into North Dakota, we were wondering where we will land. Found this State Park and was pleasantly surprised to see the huge cottonwood & fur trees throughout the campground.
Souvenir from Ashland, WI
Jul 23, 2015We post mostly the fun stuff that happens on our travels, but some days, the rain must fall as it is in life. My day was July 10th in Ashland, WI. We decided to go out for an easy bike ride from the RV Park through town on the paved Rails-to-Trails path downtown Ashland and then return on the paved path along Lake Superior.
Found a wonderful campground on Cass Lake. Large private sites with easy access to the lake.

Time sure flies by. We began 2015 with a holding pattern in Arizona before heading east. Now that we have made it to Maine, we are heading west.
Stopovers this year include...
We have a nice boondocking spot near a friend & are thoroughly enjoying all that Ely offers. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness has plenty of paddling opportunities.

"Found a rather unique RV Park that's also a marina. Our site overlooks the marina and the famous Ariel Lift Bridge. Across the bay, we have views of downtown Duluth & its hills."
PANORAMA OF THE OREDOCK MURAL This mural is a “to scale” painting of the 1,800-foot Oredock built-in 1916, and under it are 21 “postcards” of different dock users over the years. This was the largest concrete dock in the world. Several years ago, the ore dock was demolished, leaving only the base structure, which now open for public visitors.
