Yaquina Bay Lighthouse Yaquina Bay Lighthouse

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse was built in 1871 and decommissioned in 1874. December 1996, it was restored as a privately maintained aid to navigation. It's the oldest structure in Newport and the only existing Oregon lighthouse with the living quarters attached. Also, it's the only historic wooden Oregon lighthouse still standing.

Rogue Brewer’s on the Bay, 2320 OSU Dr, Newport. Get a window table & enjoy views of the harbor.

Rouge Brewing

It just seemed fitting to visit the Rogue Brewery once again. We sampled a few brews and appetizers while enjoying the view of the bay from their restaurant above the brewery.

We learned that from our campground, it's an easy walk to the brewery. About a 30 minute walk total – a tad longer if you detour and catch a bit of the beach on the way: either way, a nice walk.
