Found a nicely wooded campground that offers spectacular views of Bastendorff Beach below. This beach extends from Yoakum Head to the south jetty, which is the entrance of the bay.

Cape Arago Collage Afternoon spent exploring sights off Cape Arago Hwy: Sunset Bay State Park, Simpson Reef Overlook with great views of hundreds of seals resting on the rocky shores, and Cape Arago State Park. Lots of interesting short trails along the way with very scenic views.

This 3.5-mile point-to-point trail, from Sunset Bay SP to Cape Arago SP, offers spectacular views along the coast.
