Harbor Vista County Campground, Oregon

Above photo: The Siuslaw River as it flows between the north and south jetties.

Our first RV trip since our medical fun this past summer. It feels good to be back out on the road. Our first stop is a county campground we visited in 2016. It's still nice.

Harbor Vista - County Park Campground, near Florence: Site #9 (38 RV sites total) - This site has: full hookups. Campground Notes: flush toilets • showers • dump station available • ocean access • trails from campground (to beach) 57’ elevation. November 5th - 7h. Miles traveled: 197 (tap on mileage to see route & elevations change).

Pros:
• Paved road & sites.
• Very spacious & private sites.
• Beach Access.
Cons:
• All sites are reservable (which explains our short visit).

Overall Experience: smile

common area This open area has a playground, central restrooms, & a nice covered viewing platform.

A little auto touring was on the books, so we headed north in the fog to check out a couple of campgrounds for our next stop. After that was completed, we drove up to Cape Perpetua Overlook to check out the view & do a little hiking. That is where this photo was captured, looking down on the fog bank. You would see Hwy 101 as it meanders along the Pacific coastline if you could see through the fog.
