We camped here in 2012 & always wanted to come back. The RV gods were still good to us & we got a great site backing up to the Lochsa River (& next to the site we had in 2012).

Wilderness Gateway - Forest Service Campground, near Lowell, ID: Site #23 (89 RV sites total) - This site has: water nearby. Campground Notes: flush toilets • vault toilets • dump station available • river access • trails from campground • trails nearby • 2100’ elevation. June 6th - 10th. Miles traveled: 229 (tap on mileage to see route & elevation change).
Pros:
• Has non-reservable sites.
• Quiet & peaceful — at least during our visit.
Has Dump station
Cons:
• Most of the reserved sites unoccupied — lots of no-shows.

Overall Experience: Smile
