St Clair Winery, New Mexico (2014)

Harvest Host winery with friendly folks. They offered us to continue to use their beautifully landscaped patio after business hours. We took them up on the offer.

Overall Experience: smile

Rob't enjoying vino during a pretty afternoon on St Clair's Patio.

We woke up the next morning to quite a chatter. Looking out the RV window, we saw that the trees next to the patio were covered with Yellow-headed Blackbirds.

It's amazing what can be found in the NM desert. This pic was taken across from the winery; it's the remains of a Daystar built by Daystar Motor Home out of Compton, CA. They were manufactured in the mid-'70s, and only 16 were produced. Built on a Dodge chassis, with a teak interior and a selling price of $70,000 plus, they were expensive for the time. Thanks to Bob (RVillage friend) for suggesting that I keep an eye out for this sighting.
