Another short drive day -- went a measly 57 miles. But what a difference: it's very lush, and everything is covered with moss. The campsites are tucked in a very dense forest at Newhalem Campground. Nice. — North Cascades National Park.

Newhalem Creek Campground is a beautiful campground located in North Cascade National Park in Washington state. The campground is situated in a dense forest and offers visitors a chance to experience the natural beauty of the area.

The campground features 111 campsites, including both tent and RV sites. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit, and there are restroom facilities and drinking water available at the campground. The campground is open from late May to mid-September.

One of the main attractions of the area is North Cascade National Park itself, which offers visitors a chance to explore a variety of ecosystems, from rugged mountain peaks to lush forests. The park is home to several hiking trails, including the popular Thunder Knob Trail, which takes hikers on a 3.6-mile round-trip hike to a stunning panoramic view of Diablo Lake.

The area is also popular for fishing, with several nearby lakes and streams offering opportunities for trout fishing. In addition, the park is home to several glaciers, including the stunning Boston Glacier, which can be seen from the park's North Cascades Highway.
