Hiked the Canyon Rim Trail along Flaming Gorge. What a wonderful view.

Finally reached our new destination. Set a new record for miles driven -- nine miles and a 700 ft drop in elevation. Now in the ponderosa pines, less than 100 yards from the Flaming Gorge rim. — Canyon Rim Campground.

The Flaming Gorge area is located in the northeastern part of Utah and is known for its stunning landscapes, including towering red cliffs, deep canyons, and the crystal-clear waters of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. There are several other campgrounds in the area, including:

• Buckboard Marina Campground: This campground is located near the Buckboard Marina on the northern shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The campground has 22 sites, including several that are suitable for RVs and trailers. The campground also has a boat ramp, picnic areas, and restroom facilities.

• Firefighters Memorial Campground: This campground is located on the southern shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir near the town of Manila. The campground has 43 sites, including several that are suitable for RVs and trailers. The campground also has a boat ramp, picnic areas, and restroom facilities.

• Green River Campground: This campground is located on the banks of the Green River, just downstream from Flaming Gorge Dam. The campground has 80 sites, including several that are suitable for RVs and trailers. The campground also has picnic areas, restroom facilities, and access to hiking trails.

• Lodgepole Campground: This campground is located in the Ashley National Forest, just south of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The campground has 60 sites, including several that are suitable for RVs and trailers. The campground also has picnic areas, restroom facilities, and access to hiking and mountain biking trails.
