The RV gods were once again kind to us. Found a super cool campsite on a small lake outside Poncha Springs CO. Elevation: 9325 ft. Life is good!

Additional Info: O'Haver Campground is a popular camping area located in the Pike National Forest in central Colorado, just outside the towns of Poncha Sptings & Salida. The campground is situated in a beautiful wooded area along the banks a small lake created by Droz Creek and it offers visitors a chance to experience the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

The campground features 27 campsites, including both tent and RV sites. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit, and there are restroom facilities and drinking water available at the campground. The campground is open from late May to early September.

One of the main attractions of the area is the South Arkansas River, which offers excellent opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and rafting. The river is known for its trout population, and visitors can also enjoy scenic float trips through the area's beautiful canyons.

The nearby town of Salida is also worth exploring, with its historic downtown area, art galleries, and unique shops and restaurants. The area is also popular for hiking, with several nearby trails offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Other nearby attractions include the Arkansas Hills Trail System, which offers opportunities for mountain biking and hiking, and the Mount Shavano and Tabeguache Peak, which are popular destinations for hikers and climbers.
