Sixty-nine miles. Now that's my kind of driving day. We found a well cared for state park not too far from John Day, OR. There are a few things we want to check out in John Day.

1188 Brewing Company Small batch brewpub with a mixture of their brews & selected guest taps. They offer a varied menu with a nice selection of vegetarian options. Diana had the Pork Street Tacos & Rob't the Portobello Panini. We would recommend both.
