The objective on our mini spring road trip was to visit four Oregon State Parks that were new to us in eastern Oregon, none of which take reservations. Yeah — mission accomplished!
Above Photo: The Kam Wah Chung State Heritage Site in John Day is well worth the visit. We didn't have a chance to see it this time around, but did visit it previously.

In keeping with our "river" theme on this mini road trip, we drove 160 crazy Memorial Day miles to get where the Deschutes River empties into the Columbia River. Once again, the RV gods were good to us as we scored a site backing up to the Deschutes.
