Bastendorff Beach Campground, Oregon - 2015

Found a nicely wooded campground that offers spectacular views of Bastendorff Beach below. This beach extends from Yoakum Head to the south jetty, which is the entrance of the bay.

Bastendorff Beach Campground - County Park, near Coos Bay, OR: Site #52 (74 RV sites total) - This site has: electric & water hookups. Campground Notes: flush toilets • showers • dump station available • ocean access • beach access from the campground (via a short walk on-road) • trails nearby in State Parks • 112’ elevation. October 24th - Nov 3rd. Miles drove – 50.

Cape Arago Collage Afternoon spent exploring sights off Cape Arago Hwy: Sunset Bay State Park, Simpson Reef Overlook with great views of hundreds of seals resting on the rocky shores, and Cape Arago State Park. Lots of interesting short trails along the way with very scenic views.

This 3.5-mile point-to-point trail, from Sunset Bay SP to Cape Arago SP, offers spectacular views along the coast.
